What did i buy?

Just bought a Oliver 80, serial number 809937 K.D.
seems to be all there, runs very well, but using a 12 volt battery. I believe it was originally 6volt? Anything i should be looking at? will be bringing it home in about 4 weeks, roughly ten hour drive away.

All there except the gas starting tank? KD suffix is kerosene distillate? Seems to have the deep inlet manifold. Wonder what the compression ratio might be.

When you say 'bringing' and ' ten hour drive' I presume you are trucking it, not driving it!

Beware light bulbs are not six volts (unless wired in series). Starter will not care which voltage unless cranked excessively. Has dynamo generator been altered to 12 volts? No t clear in your post what the precise situation is with the electrics.
