1650 sediment bulb bracket, R or L hand thread?

I have a shop manual but it doesn't have the sediment bulb in there. I have some stuff in the tank I can see with it empty. I want to wash it out with the bulb off. If you have any better ideas I'm open for suggestions. Thnks.

Take the sediment bulb assembly out and put an air hose in the tank and let her blow for awhile will help.I also usually replace the sediment bulb assembly with a 3/8" piece of pipe and T it off and extend another 3/8 nipple blow the T to catch what ever comes out of the tank. Then screw a dump valve on the lower T to let out water and whatever.Surprising how much stuff comes out of a fuel tank.

I have 2 sitting on the shop floor now that I used the pressure washer on. Amazing how much trash came out of them, not to mention the foreign objects that had been accidentally dropped into the tanks over the years; shiny and new looking inside now. Obviously had to get all of the water out so that it didn't flash rust immediately so I added some fuel and sloshed around and disposed of that.

In the tractor would be a little harder, but the pressure washer is the way to go in my opinion.

To answer your question, they are right handed threads, what some of us call regular or normal threads. I think you're on the right track with the power washer. gm
