1650 loosing hydraulic fluid

I replaced the broken fitting on my 1650 3 point pressure valve. I also installed a new pump and gaskets. I am now loosing fluid that is going into the trans. and rear end fluid. Is the only way fluid can get in there is by the gaskets or the seal on the pump? I wonder if I have a bad new pump. I am sure the gaskets are in place. Any ideas? Larry

Did you find the problem yet? A pump seal or a hole in the pan is about the only way isn't it? Unlike the 1850's,they have external draft control don't they? I'm just curious as to what you find.

I think that there is a seal on the draft control rod that can cause fluid to leak into the trans, rearend housing. I am thinking more towards that. I am sure the gaskets are ok and I don't think it is the new pump. Will keep you posted when I find out.
