Thanks for posting, great pictures and good story on the placard. Funny how the MM brown looks like red oxide primer.

Love it. The only one I ever saw in person like that around here was a pair of JD A's hooked together pulling a 4 bottom plow. I remember Dad and I pulled over along the road and watched it plow for a few minutes.

During the 70's a farmer teamed a super 88 oliver and a G john deere, he could plow shorter headlands than his brother who had a 4020 jd and a semi mount plow, talented people. Pete

One operator on the rear. Pivots in the middle to steer, large hyd. cylinder on the right
side to pivot it.

So, I've always wondered about these...
Are there 2 clutches? If they're hooked together, they'd have to be synchronized pretty well to work.
Same question for the brakes.
How about shifter? 2 shifters or hooked together? It's got to be tough to get them both in gear at the same time.
And engine RPM? If they were off, couldn't the back be trying to outrun the front, or vice/versa?

Yes, me too! I'd like to know how they addressed this.

It appears the front unit still has a gear shift lever and throttle?

Someone build me a 16th scale model of these. I can't afford anything other than 16th scale and my shop is way to small for the real thing !! Love it!!!!
