How do you remove the brake pedals on a Super 88 to get the platform off? I see an old post that sounds like the shafts screw out?

Mr. Schwiebert helped me. It is far from obvious. The shafts screw into the transmission housing. The left brake shaft loosens clockwise and the right brake loosens counterclockwise. You have to disconnect the spring from the platform, take out the pin at the other end of the actuator linkage, screw out the stud and twist the pedal out through the opening in the platform. Luckily the studs came out very easily.
