Oliver Pictures - Online Tractor Show

Well, it seems everyone around here (myself included) loves to see pictures of these Oliver tractors.

So, here's a chance to post them up without stepping on anyone else's topic or detracting from a question.

Here's a few pics of (most, but not all) our family's collection:

Not Oliver's, but part of the AGCO family:

No tractor in this one, but everyone loves a pretty country girl, right?

So, come on - let's see some of your Olivers! Clean and shiny, rusted and dirty, it don't matter.

Not ours, but I've never seen a 100 series with steel wheels before. Was this a factory option, or something homemade?

This tractor is sitting just off the highway just south of Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. We saw it on our way to buy our 1755.

Looks like an Amish or Mennonite modification. The ones they use around here are a little more sophisticated, they use rubber inside of them to cushion the ride a little more.
I'd like to have that old beauty though. I've always had a love for the 1800 checkerboards.

I like the wide front on the 77! You don't see many like that. I imagine that makes the tractor much more useful for doing small chores and odd jobs? If the 77's we had weren't so sentimental, I'd put a wide front, hydraulics, and a 3 point on them. They'd make a great light-duty/utility tractor.

We've got a single wheel tricycle sitting in the barn that I'd like to put on the newer (pictured above in wheat field) of the two when we get around to restoring it. My father and uncles swear by that setup. Said it would stay in the row on it's own and turned on a dime. (Even more so than the regular tricycle setup.)

Jerry, I had to pull hydraulic pump because of leaking pump seals and front end needs some work but does steer well. I just purchased the 77 this spring and the 1555 my dad bought new in 1973 and I sold it in 1994. I found it again a few years ago and the 1650 engine was on craigslist. Unfortunately the original engine and tin work was lost in a shed fire a few years ago. The White my dad bought new in 1989. You can see the white and 1555 in my farm pic just before it was sold.

Mom sent this to me a few weeks ago to show me what my dad was
doing over at the farm. He told me earlier in the day he was going to put
his new tires on his Super 66, and ended up getting some of the other
ones out while he was at it. I told him we need to get them all out and
get a picture of all of them together. My mom took this picture, she is no
photographer....

Nice herd of Oliver's there. Did that hair dryer wake the 1850 up?
What caliber is the rifle? 30-06? looks pretty big.

Thanks! Thanks to this forum, I was able to contact Perkins directly and find out a bit more about that engine. It came out of a '75 MF 760 combine, and left the factory with 133bhp. We didn't do the conversion, we bought it like that, but whoever did it did a decent job. It looks like it longs there. The turbo really does help, especially when pulling a very heavy load. This tractor hardly smokes, even when pulling hard, so it's breathing well. This particular 1850 has the wider, heavier rear axles, so it was a good choice for this conversion. Notice the hubs? We've got a set of hub-mount duals for it, but we need some new rubber for them. With this machine, lack of traction is the biggest draw-back, not lack of power. And it sure purrs...

And yes, that's exactly what it is! It's an old Remington Woodsmaster that I've done a bit of work to. I use it for deer and hog hunting.

Thats a great story!

I may have, by sheer luck, located my grandfather's original 70. If it's the one, we're gonna do everything we can to get it.

Is there a registry of past sales transactions? We do not have a copy of the serial number anywhere, which makes identification tougher. At this point, we're looking for mods that were made to it...
