Old Cockshutt looking for info

I am looking at purchasing an old Cockshutt tractor. But not sure if it is worth my time. The owner says it is a Model 50. Looking at pic's online it looks like the 560 pic's. How can I id what it is? Is there a number that will verify it? I have a few numbers but nothing seems to match up.
Also, is this a decent tractor to put some time into getting going? Or should I look for something else?

I was told it is a late 50's.
It was running a year ago. But running bad.

If anyone who has one or worked on one could give me an opinion, that would be great.

If it needed a different motor, are there options for this chasis other than the factory one?

Thanks Ty

Big difference between a 50 and 560. A 50 has a 6 cylinder Buda engine both for the gas and diesel models. The 560 is a 4 cylinder Perkins diesel only. The 1958 560 tractors (first year of the 500 series tractors had a Perkins L-4 engine. The later 560 tractors have the same size engine but it was a direct injection Perkins with the same displacement. The serial number for the 50 is stamped on top of the frame on the left side, on the 560 the serial number is stamped on top of the frame on the right side. Start there. If it is a 560 you can park the 560 at my place, I always wanted one. J.

A pic would do wonders. If it is in fact a 50 or 560,
it'd have to be pretty rough in my eyes to not save.
