2015 Color Codes for 1944 Row Crop 60

Hello,

I am currently preparing to restore a 1944 RC 60. I have found many discussions on color codes for various paint manufacturers, but many of them seem to be out of date, new codes, etc. Does anyone know the appropriate color codes for this tractor using today's numbers? I want to make sure it is the right colors...not to dark, not too light, etc. I will need the red, yellow and green codes and which paint is found to be the best. I have restored a Cub using Tesco and it is beautiful, but not sure what is right for the Oliver. Also, I am trying to verify the right color combinations. Red hubs and rims, green hubs and lugs and red rims...also, is the 60 to be framed in red tapering back, or just yellow 60 on green frame. Any original pictures would be helpful. I am trying to do as much research as possible, but many people use different combinations...I just want it right and as original as possible. Thanks for the help!

Thanks...

I had just contacted Helen, form the Dumont museum and the most up to date code they use when restoring older (1938-1946) Olivers is:

Green: PPG # 925956
Red: PPG # 70094
Yellow: PPG # 82748

The wheels should be all red and the axle should be black, according to Helen. The forward "60" is also framed in red which tapers back the length of the frame to the back of the engine.

I am about done restoring an Oliver 60 on full steel. I bought my paint from NAPA and can get you the codes for the paint I used from there if you like.

That would be good too...Also, if you have any pics, I would love to see them and see how it turned out. I am getting p[psyched to get to work on mine. I am in the parts acquisition phase. It doesn't need much, but there are a few things I want to get. Surely change it to 12V too. Thanks!

Ok, I will get those paint codes for you. What parts are you in need of? I may have a few extra parts I'd be willing to sell depending on what you need.

I started a new thread with a couple pictures of my 60. I just finished it up today.

Thanks. I checked out the pictures of your restoration. Pretty nice. Unfortunately, I am surrounded by pavement. I am not sure what I will actually need. I am away for another couple weeks. This next time home will be hunt and gather time. I have a Monroe Easy Ride Seat, which I was advised to keep. But, I am trying to find an original seat...so I have the option. Is yours converted to 12V? Did you find a lot of the parts on Steiner or Oliver parts...or original stuff off of Ebay? It seems that the 60's are not terribly common and are hard to find parts for...aside from what I can find on Above mentioned sites. DO you have any kid of list of parts...You can message me too if you like. Thanks for the help.

What are the paint codes you used? I had finally gotten mine from Helen DuMont who runs a large Oliver museum. Any help is greatly appreciated.
