7300 combine

I posted this in the combine forum but I figure here might be better. I'm going to look at an Oliver 7300 combine soon. It has been on the barn since parked. Has not ran in at least 5 plus years. Was well maintained before it was parked. I belongs to a friend. If I can get it to run I can get it cheap. Are these combines good? Can I get parts for them. Any advice ? This is would be my first combine.

I've got one with a Chrysler V8. Good machine, gas hungry. Never really needed much for it,but A&I seems to have all the belts and what not for them.

Depending on what tires it has, yes it will. If I remember correctly mine is just a skish under 12 with 18.4X26 Drives. Book says 11'5" with cab and those tires. They are an awesome machine. Mines a diesel and its a corn eating some !@#$%.

Good simple combine. I had 2 White 7300 combines (my first combine). First one was a 318 gas and the 2nd one had a 354 Perkins. Gas was OK but as someone mentioned it does burn a lot of fuel. Diesel was really nice-lots of power and very good on fuel. Ran a 704W cornhead in hills and I did break a couple final drives. Probably due to turning the drive wheels around for stability instead of using axle extensions. Unloading auger height is not very high so you need to watch wagon and truck height. Very good starter combine and very easy to adjust. Replaced my last one with a White 8700 which was quite a step up in comfort.
