I have a 1960 oliver with factory 216 Waukesha with a zenith carburetor. A few days ago when I was disking, I had a weird green slimy gunk build up on the outside of the carburetor, along with large drop lets of what I believe to be water. The build up was specifically happening right where the carburetor and air intake meet. Anyone ever heard of this? Anyone have any idea what this might be? Any and all help is appreciated, thanks.

It's not uncommon for humidity to condensate on the carb, but I'm not sure what the green slime would be. What's it taste like? (Just kidding! ) If the carb is aluminum, maybe it's a reaction of the water to that or something else that was on it, like oil or something.

Depending on where your at it could well be a build up of mold due to high water condition we have had this year. Then with it running due to how carb works that area get wet from condensation so it then could turn green in that area due to mold and condensation mixing
