I do not know for sure on the 88 but I know it was in fact an option on the 77 so good chance it was on the 88 also.
 
   I don't know on a 88 row crop, however Super 88 and 880 tractors were all produced with the heavy cast rear wheel.   This was done for field performance, poor traction resulted with a lighter tractor.   There was an exception to the cast wheel rule, some dealers wanted the pressed steel to gain a price advantage when selling against another dealer.   Tractors could be ordered with the pressed steel, however the order had to be approved and signed off by the Branch Manager.
