Was pressed steel a factory option on an 88? if so what rim width was original?

I do not know for sure on the 88 but I know it was in fact an option on the 77 so good chance it was on the 88 also.

pressed steel rim does not show up in any of the 88 parts books So to answer your ? I dont think so

   I don't know on a 88 row crop, however Super 88 and 880 tractors were all produced with the heavy cast rear wheel.   This was done for field performance, poor traction resulted with a lighter tractor.   There was an exception to the cast wheel rule, some dealers wanted the pressed steel to gain a price advantage when selling against another dealer.   Tractors could be ordered with the pressed steel, however the order had to be approved and signed off by the Branch Manager.
