Will a 339 Hercules engine fit in a 560 frame? I didn't know if will fit the tub or whether the 560 had both 4 and 6 cylinder mounts like some of the 35's did.

I have a 35 , and I never heard of a 35 having a 6 in it from the factory. It has bee almost 60 years since they built a "35" so you could have seen one that was changed. The "35" and the "40" shared the same tub,I bet is the same tub on your 560 too.

According to the parts book 560/570 are both the same Frame/Tub.

The 35 never did come with a 6 cylinder but the early 56 35s had a extra set of holes in the frame that you could put a 6 cylinder in it.
