Correct color for cast front wheel centers?

I have a fleetline 77 to work on next. What color should the front hubs be? I have seen green, red, and the inside painted green and outside painted red. Rims are obviously red, but what about the cast center? These are the heavy cast hubs.

Someone else will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the tractors came down the line being painted green with the tires and rims yet to be put on. I panted mine green.

J.Wondergem you are right. Correct color for hubs front or rear is green on fleetline tractors.

Disc brake heavy hub should be red, band brake heavy hub would be debatable but in my opinion red.

gordey, I agree, I have my original heavy hubs and the are red all the down to the metal. Chuck

Chuck, You and Gordey are correct. The wheels, hubs and cast centers on the fleetline tractors were painted red. The only exception was the Industrials. Those models had the wheels painted the same color as the tractor itself. (Orange or yellow)

Oliver fan, I believe the hubs (front/rear) on the early fleetlines were green though. I have also heard the color was dependent on how busy workers at the factory were and if they had time to paint them, but I don't know if that's true or not.
