Oliver users in this area could use a track model right now. Model 40 - 1957.

I don't know as far back as 57' but IH had track combines with their 403,503 models in the 60's.I
ran a 503 with tracks in the late 70's.It was that or leave the crop in the field.

John Deere had them too. Read the add: Some maybe all the other manufactures kept the steering wheels. My wife's oldest cousin was an engineer for Battle Creek in those days. He would tell stories of snakes swimming in the fields when they would be testing the combines.

Here in south La. we have to use them in our rice fields about half the time.Like riding on a cloud
in the mud and would rattle your teeth on hard ground.Funny how the only tractor that would get
in and out with a grain cart in those conditions were a 1950 FWA with R-2 tires. There were plenty
of oliver tractors here then but I never saw any oliver combines .
