1955 oil coolers

I have an Oliver 1955 that I'll either have to repair or replace the hydraulic and the 3 speed oil coolers. What would be a good replacement?

Thanks for any help
Danny

I would try to get a good one from a salvage yard.
I bet any 55 series has the same coolers.

I had seen in an archived thread from 2005 a similar question regarding a 3 spd. oil cooler on an 1850. Shep VA had responded that he uses transmission oil coolers from CARQUEST as replacements. That seems like a pretty good idea to me. However the auto parts stores around here are very helpful when I have a make, model and year to give them but when I say its for an Oliver they get a blank stare.

I will go used if need be or get mine repaired but I think if possible I'd like to get new.
Thank you for your response

Bit of a sore subject.... Tractor left outside in pieces uncovered ... water froze and split the coolers. Ive gotten the tractor back home and put the clutch in myself (what I should have done to begin with!) So now I am righting some wrongs for a poor decision. A good lesson for me! Thank you, Danny

I would have guessed that you would have people telling you that they have cooers laying around from parts tractor. Some other models will also fit.

Thank you Mr. Schwiebert, I am going to try my hand at repairing the ones I have. I often forget about things I've done in the past and need reminded of my own abilities. Sort of have to thank friends for that. If I cant fix them I found a couple on the Autozone website that I will research more deeply..

Thank You again,
Danny

I've used transmission coolers off tractor trailers for roadranger transmissions. They have large tubes and have 1/2 npt fittings on, so you can adapt to dang near anything. Not sure on price though. Mine were off wrecks. They are mounted with rubber blocks between the tubes that expand when the bolt is tightened. You can put the bolt right through the existing metal mounts on the rad. I have one on our 1850 right now. I know yours are upside down compared to an 1850. Freightliner and others have there own brand. I'd look for a truck junkyard. Other option is to look for a high performance automotive cooler, or look around on Ebay.

I can tell you from my parts experience this cooler is made by Eaton Fuller & the p/n is 18025.
The installation kit p/n is K1956, which includes the cooler.
