Tired of messing with the 1550 gas think I'm going to go ahead and buy a new intake and exhaust manifold and a new Mallory dist.To me looks like Korves Oliver is the best place to get these any better place?

Korves is a good choice, nice people -- spoke to Victor once about a rebuild, they know the stuff they sell. Is your intake cracked or warped? Could you use JB Weld?

The whole thing is usable now but I took it off as the gaskets were bad and the exhaust is burnt some not bad since I'm going to keep and run this tractor figured I may as well put some good parts on it.

I would consider just machining the ports flat so they all seal good again instead of throwing money at a cheap aftermarket manifold. Of course the cost of that may be just as much as replacements if you can't do it yourself.

So you're saying the Manifolds being sold for the 1550's aren't any good? The aftermarket one I got for an AC WD45 was better than the original.Anyone else had any experience with the
1550 manifolds being sold now?

Can't say about 1550's, but I've bought one for an AC 175 and the mounting holes did not match up exactly the original was cracked badly so had no choice. To mill it only costs about $75 at a machine shop. I think the replacement intakes are over $200 and probably aren't US made.

I have aftermarket on my 1600 because the original was pretty bad. They work alright, but milling it flat if the rest of the manifold is ok would be a better option. Leave the intake and exhaust bolted together and have them dust cut as one.
