Only if there's water in the trans. Most modern GL5 oils are safe for brass components in older tractors. Have it in several 40's and 50's Olivers, John Deeres, Farmalls, Cletracs.
If you have water mixed with the trans fluid, drain and refill with cheap hydraulic fluid. Run the tractor around for a few minutes, drain and refill with the trans lube of your choice. You should be OK.
