Here's a pic from last year. The tractors old and so is the baler. But as long as they both keep going, I will continue to use them!

Nice, I noticed it grew a cab between last year and this .
and pulling a different baler as well:)
I baled with an 1855 and a Vermeer D for 20 odd years.
After fighting with the temperamental critter for half my life i finally had enough and I upgraded to a JD 567 last year.
The 1855 is a keeper though ;)

Looking Good. Is that an 1850 Diesel? and what model Vermeer ???? Maybe F??? I would like to try an open throat Vermeer, but I just kinda got use to my old closed throat 605C. I wish my 1850 was diesel. I had a 1900 with the Detroit, but traded it off for this 1850 because I wanted a gasser so it would start easy in the cold winters..........Yeah, I know....What was I thinking!

We don't have winters like Montana or Wyoming but winter before last we had some -20 degrees and the gas tractors didn't want to start. We don't have electricity out at the hay shed to plug tractors in.

The 1850 is a later model with the 3-speed hydraul-shift. The baler is a 504G, it has made more bales than I ever intended. I pull it with the 1650 also.

(quoted from post at 19:44:17 06/18/15) How well does the 1855 handle that 567? Have any hills?
No pain no strain.
Not really hills but some 30' slopes
Uphill no problem, downhill needs the 3 speed in direct to avoid going in Mexican overdrive.

Heh. -20 overnight? That's a warm spring day here in northern WI! Surprised your gas wouldn't start; 1650 here starts with the choke and one slow roll at -20 every time
