Weatherman said I had a 3 day window.......As soon as I cut, the third day moved up to 40% chance. You guessed it....got wet!

my problem is i could get hay dry, even if it got rained on, no problem. i have standing water in different parts of the field. a week ago i left it to let the water go down, had 2" rain since then

I'm in the same boat in Central NY - can't string together enough days for dry hay. My buddy did hay in a day yesterday. Mowed first thing, tedded it out, then raked and rolled it up around 6 in the evening - of course that was baleage, not dry hay.

The MOCO is a JD 1209. I use to pull it with a Allis D17 Series IV which is about 54hp and it pulled it OK. I just started pulling it with the Jolly Ollie because it has a canopy and you sit higher up to see wash outs better in the grass and the seat is easier riding. The downside is....takes a lot more fuel.

I bought a 1550 gas in Dec, '14 mainly for the 1207 but I'm still working on it to get it where I want. The Ford does it but with my hilly fields it doesn't like to make the turns. STD PTO, too.
