My 1955 oliver got hot when the water pump went out and ruined the radiator.I only ran it a couple minutes but it pegged the gauge quick. After fixing the problem i noticed water in the oil.Drained oil and added water but it still leaks.I assume the head gasket or most likely the o-rings on the sleeves.I plan on pulling the oil pan and pressuring the cooling system to see if i can determine the leak.Any way should I pull head and sleaves and just replace the o-ring and head gasket? Im trying to do this without pulling engine and beleive i can pull rods and pistons out the bottom and sleaves up and out.Im not sure if i can check main bearings with motor in frame or not.Engine has had all updates when rebuilt 15 years ago.I want to do it right but need the tractor for haying.Just concerned about the crank mostly.Ive baled over 300 round bales with it this year before i noticed water dissapearing..Thanks in advance

Yes you can pull the pistons and sleeves and replace the crank bearings with the engine in the frame.
I did just that on my 1855 20 years ago when it had water in the oil...(was bad 0 rings on a sleeve).Pistons rods and sleeves can only come out trough the top.
I didn't run it hot though.
I just found the crank case full of coolant one morning when checking the oil level before heading out to bale hay.
