Does anyone know if the plastic knobs on the RM fuel filter housing are available anywhere? These are the fluted knobs on the top and bottom I assume for bleeding. thanks.

I do assume that they are the same as John Deere? They have them for about $2.50 each, use p/n R48071

Don't forget about the rubber washers either, they are about $0.50 each, use p/n R34447

I think most of the different colors used the same Rossa Master Fuel Filters set up.

The Oliver (50 series at least) filter housings looked a little different than the JD one above which looks newer. Gotta love it when folks shoot a thick coat of paint over everything on the motor including hoses, wiring, fan belts, dirt, grease, spiders, etc. :>)

Why because that would make too much sense!! Just kidding. A flat washer and a bolt would be fine actually. Don't know why the originals are plastic. Amazing how much moisture apparently got into one of the filter cups (I think the primary). The cups are made of pot metal and that one got corroded. The second cup had no sign of moisture. The top is aluminum.

ven back then they wanted one to buy parts now and then.

You guys need to get your ducks in a row so to speak. Not all 1650 tractors use the same fuel filters. The filters on the 1650 picture below started with the introduction of the direct injection engines in 1967. Before that the older engines used a single Roosa Master filter mounted on the other side close to the injection pump plus another filter mounted on the other side. Early in the production of the 1655 models the glass filter as show with the Deere illustration came into being and replaced the filter set up shown in the picture.

Brett, which piece do you need? I still have that wide front and other odds and ends for a 1650 direct or indirect injected.

greg, the bottom set of knobs on the filter cups on mine are pretty chewed up so I definitely could use the ones your showing in the picture. I'll send something to your home email and you can let me know.

Or might be R34446 plug and R26287 oring, these are from the fuel filters from a later early model 4020 1968. chris
