88 puking water

What would cause my 88 to blow out about a quart or so of water when getting warmed up? Not a blown head. Could I need a higher pressure rad. cap?

If it is a fleet line 88 keep the water level down about 2 1/2" from the top, any fuller and it will push it out when it warms up. That is not a pressurized system. Chuck

My Farmall M did that a year or so ago. Kind of shocking to see it happen since never had any overheating problems. Thermostat was the culprit.

Very likely to be filled to full non pressure system so the cap is not the problem. Pull the cap off my S88 today while running after it had run for an hour just to check level and guess what no problem doing so because it is a non pressure system. But yes a blown head gasket can/will cause that due to cylinder pressure in the cooling system
