Still on this subject, for a White 2-135 with broken crank I am looking at. I see the military LDT and LDS pistons / con rods / sleeves don't interchange between LDS/LDT. Does
anyone know if the tractor pistons/con rods (low compression) will fit the military crank with standard bearings? I ask because a main bearing kit in std size is 600$ and I don't
want to have to buy another. I've read there are certain plugs that need to be installed in the correct places to block oil flow but maybe thats only for the engines lacking piston
cooling.
I've read the high compression multifuel pistons make the tractor motor start much better at low temps which makes sense but its 1000$ for 6 holes and the White I'm looking at
was already rebuilt once semi-recently. Trying for very low budget here!
