A white series I II II Question

Both the 2-155 and 2-135 I looked at happened to be series II tractors, digital tach/hours/pto speed but over under and throttle on the dash.

The series 3 is supposed to be much quieter and folks always say its because the old ones the cab is somehow less isolated and attached to the fuel tank. The one I just looked at had the sheet metal off, and fuel tank out. The cab doesn't seem to be attached to anything, just a box shape where the fuel tank nestles. Could the brackets be adjusted to not connect to the cab somehow to reduce sound transmission? I'm assuming the series 3 has more substantial cab isolators and sound deadening too.

Yes on the series I & II white's, the fuel tank extends into the cab. the top hood fastens to a support in front of the tank, it is actually the tank support. the tank is fastened to the support with bands. Now the series III has similar supports, and bands to hold the tank, however, the tank does NOT protrude into the cab. With this change, the cab is tighter soundwise, dustwise, and therefor quieter. They call the series III cab a "Unitized" cab, meaning you can disconnect everything outside the cab and remove entire cab without having to slide it around the teering column.
