Last fall, I had posted here asking about a problem with the hydraulics on my tractor. John Schwiebert was kind enough to advise me to check the interlock valve, especially the springs in the top cover but unfortunately, life and the weather got in the way and I am finally getting around to it now.

I have the seat and toolbox off and it looks like I can access the interlocks without removing the top cover from the tractor... is this correct? Also, is there much spring pressure on this? I am well familiar with auto transmissions valve bodies and their tendencies to launch parts over your shoulder if you are not ready for it so I hope to keep from losing parts in the dirt.

I appreciate any advice

Well, dropping stuff inside does not sound like fun. I think I should avoid that, huh?

So, I need to take the top cover off... I assume I will need that gasket, the valve end plate gasket for the rear, the interlock retainer gaskets and the interlock springs. Anything else I should get? Plunger, o-ring, seat, ball or guide?

I still have your e-mail address. I sent you an e-mail a week or two ago but didn't get a response so that is the reason I tried here.

Thanks again
