1250 cockshutt

My nephew has 3 1250's Two have picked apart engines and 1 has a knock. He is wondering if these engines are all garbage as he has seen 3 more all picked apart. Second he was wondering if there are any other engines that will fit in with minor adjustments.

I don't know but a later model diesel might bolt up if so there are plenty of those around in Oliver,Long and AC Fiat Models.
