Went to an auction yesterday and watched this 1750 bring $4500 while the 88 brought $1250

That 88 wouldn't have sold for that if I'd been there. I'd have run it up. Looks like early band brakes,if those decals are original it would have to be an early 51. The seat looks earlier than that though. All there, pressed steel wheels on the rear, bargain of the year right there.

Definitely does look like a very honest and clean ole 88.

I am guessing no power steering since it has that add on shock absorber thing on the center steering wheel hub (Oh I forget what those things were called and which aftermarket company made em).

Anybody else notice it has the long brake pedals like an old style 88? As well as the box spring seat and left hand PTO......

Ya. It even has a yellow stripe down the hood. That's why I wondered about the decals. They should have been red and not said Oliver on them.

the 88 ,,hood needed replaced and the side curtains was not the best, rear pressed steel rim was patched, old weather cracked tires, the picture here looked good,, the 1750 had a weak clutch but was a really nice looking and running tractor, the buy was the 1967 dodge ton truck with 31,000 miles for $1250
