Towing an 1800 A series

On a farm about 3.5 miles from my shop, I punctured the radiator with a tree branch. What is the proper way to tow this home. What position should the hydra-power be in?

Also, where can a new wiring harness be purchased for an 1855 diesel?

Thanks in advance

I don't know but I thought they had a pump to lube the tranny. If the engine isn't running then the
tranny doesn't get lubed??? Hope John S. chimes in.

I towed my 1850 a few times from the field in neutral is fine. Basically all the hydra/direct is is a 2
speed automatic trans. Fyi if you ever have to pull start it do it in direct.

Put it in neutral. The 1800 A series did not have a pump from the factory but a kit was available and many were added. Check the oil level in the transmission before you tow it.
