From the Oliver Plant archives at the Floyd County Museum in Charles City, IA. Arial view of the Oliver plant. In the foreground is the tractor display building that was dedicated on October, 1958. It held a turntable on a timer so the tractor on display would make one revolution ever minute. In the upper right comer is the new test track built in 1961. The tractor display building was destroyed in the 1968 tornado. Dating this photograph from 1961-1967.

No cars in the parking lot and shadows on the west side of the buildings and trees, Sooo had to be a Sunday morning flight over the plant.

I had a load going in there, must have been Summer of 68. All I can remember is unloading on the left side of a building, and asking the worker, what he expect would happen with White Motor buying them out. He said, going good so far, and hoped they didn't bankrupt them, or something similar. Almost seems like he said they started casting some blocks somewhere else, but don't quote me on that.
