1650 gas wont start?

It fired until I released the key off start several times. I held it on start and it ran until I released it. Now, it just spins, no fire. It has electronic ignition.

Well, duh. It was too muddy to used it anyway. I went back to check for moisture, we've had a lot of rain, and the coil wire was just hanging there.

I shut my 1550 off in the pasture for about twenty minutes last fall and it wouldn't start for love nor money. It's some kind of miracle that I ever found the problem with that one. Apparently the cows had tugged on the spark plug wires and tipped the cap up sideways just far enough for the spring loaded pin in the center of the cap, where it contacts the rotor, broke and fell off. I stuck it back together with a little dab of electrical grease and flipped it back over real quick and got it back on. It's still working, but I'll bet it wouldn't if somebody else took the cap off and let that piece fall out again.
