I just installed my rebuit Zenith carb. The throttle linkage can be locked down in any position. Does the throttle rod from the governor go above, or hang below the throttle shaft? Or, the same question a different way, does pushing the throttle lever forward (or up) make it run faster or slower?
Getting it wrong could be bad.
Got my paying jobs done early, and this thing is taking that time bac and then somè. Hood screws, two came out, 4 needed the heads drill or ground off, depending on what they were behind. Two were behind a 1/2 steel plate guard welded to the frame to protect the radiator and nose and had to be torched out from the inside. Muffler would not separate from exhaust pipe, the bad braze holding it to the manifold came off with it. The top would not come off the air cleaner, and all the bolts holding it to the firewall had to be torched off. On the brighter side, turning the fan by hand I determined that the clutch will disengage, and it should move under its own power and wont ram the truck when we try to pull start it. Having fun, at least its warm today.
