Had the 500 out

I don't know how the body shop is coming along on the hood and fenders, but I figured I'd better get on the stick and get the rest ready to paint,so I took the pressure washer to it this morning and blew off everything that was loose.
Couldn't believe it started right back up after I got it that wet.

Looks like quite a fun little machine. Can't wait to see it back together.

How easy is it to get to the brake rotors on your 500? If it's relatively easy is there any chance you could snap a picture or two of the brake rotor for me?

That's what I'm hoping it looks like. My brakes were converted, and I have no idea where they came from. By measuring though I got 7" OD 3" ID 24 spline, which the parts book says is for the 500, so I'm hoping that was used.

I've never had them apart. They were built by David Brown though,so you might start searching DB parts if you think that's what yours are. It's a DB 850 under the green paint.

The 850 David Brown 850 /Oliver 500 tractors use brake shoes not brake disks. Your tractor has the splines that were used when they went from band to disk brakes. It is an Oliver set up.
