Biggest white 4wd?

Local agco dealer got in a 4-270 sitting on the lot, sharp looking tractor. Looks to have an inline six cynlder caterpillar, out of my price range, but it got me thinking. Did white make a 4wd bigger than this one before the agco name? I thought it was made in limited numbers, but can't find out any information on what model number or horsepower it was. I remember reading an article on it, but don't remember where, thanks for any information.

Guess a search on this site answered my own question. 4-325 with a cat 3406, 4 made, one disassembled at factory, one burned down and two that are still known to be in existence. Kind of a big goofy looking tractor, the 270 looks well balanced compared to the 325.

As an employee of the company I remember being at the test farm in Surprise, Arizona when they were testing the 4-325.   They were running it on the native American reservation east of Scottsdale. They were running them on rippers and they had almost destroyed the rippers as they were welded up in a lot of places.   They would run them 11 hours, then check them over and run another 11 hours per day.   White New-Idea management decided to discontinue 4WD tractors, thus they did not go into production.

Incidentally the test farm was located where the Arizona Cardinals football stadium is now (where the Super Bowl was held).   The site was taken for the freeway and stadium.

Thanks for the story and information, were you able to run the tractor at any time? Why didn't the 325 go into production, or was this the same time agco bought into the company?
