2-155 oil pressure

New to me tractor. Working ground yesterday and the oil pressure gauge would drop pressure and then go right back up again. Pressure usually hovered in the low operating range. I was running at approximately 1900 rpm, which is on the light side. Just get a bit nervous when the needle hits the red. Checked oil level and it was fine. Could it just be the gauge or the sender?

Could be either one yes. If you want to be sure, take the sender out and put a wet gauge in and check it.
The gauge on my 2-135 quit working three or four years ago entirely. It was intermittent for a few days then nothing. I changed the sender and it didn't help. I don't remember right off the top of my head which sender is for the gauge and which is for the buzzer and light,I'd have to look.
I put a wet test gauge in though and it was right up there around 30 psi.

Thanks for the info. I had an oil gauge quit on my 2050, after replacing the sender and the gauge and still inoperable, I put in a mechanical gauge and never had any trouble after that.

check the sender for resistance. there is a measurement for that. mine on my 135 did that also. when started gauge showed good as it got warmer gauge got goofy. resistance was way our of whack.
