Revamped the 500 drawbar

I started the 500 the other day to test the generator and new regulator, but I had the 3 point lever in the wrong position. It bent the daylights out of the new drawbar frame that I made.
I took it off today and straightened it,then made it more like the original so it mounts with the arms up instead of down.
I noticed that there was supposed to be a latch/pin that holds it up so it won't settle. Mine didn't have one,so I made one. You can see that in the upper left.

That's when I stare at the sky and whisper to myself, "Am I really that stoopit???" Then I silently nod my head and proceed to tear apart what ever it was broke. (smile)

I did something similar with my Cockshutt when I first got it. It had adjustable straps on each side. Had them tight, bumped the lever, and bent both of them bad. It has the lever for the three point in a place that's easy to bump when you get on or off. I made a stop for the lever out of a PTO knob that was for a truck. Just loosen it up, set it were you want it, and tighten it back up.

The dickens of it is,on this one, there's a lever you flip 90° either way to shut off the three point altogether. I thought it was in the off position. I know better now.

Spose you said "oh fiddle sticks" haha. I have been there as well. Thanks for sharing your experiences, I'll have to write it down in my notes for when I get around to my 500.
