Oliver 77 Industrial information - Hopefully works?

I bought an Oliver 77 Industrial tractor with loader and backhoe. It's being delivered Monday from 90 miles away. It's going to be a working restoration project as the tin is shot, and the paint is in bad shape.

I have many questions as I can't find hardly ANY information on the machine. It's the same 6 cylinder gas as the AG 77, and same 6 speed transmission, but it seems the similarities stop there.

The machine has a Ware loader and backhoe and is fully functional. The front axle is a heavy duty lowered axle.

The hydro pump is protruding the front end with a horrific but functional protective grate around it. I'd like to somehow move the pump into the frame under the radiator so I can put a normal looking grill on it. I would like to re-route the hydro lines and clean up the hoses everywhere.

The machine is back heavy. The dipper cylinder is slow, but the rest operate normally. It'll dig stumps, but it really works to do it. I think if I rebuild the spool valves they will opperate a lot better.

There's no exhaust on it at all, just a threaded exhaust manifold. I found the threaded pipe for it at steiner's, as well as the muffler.

The machine doesn't want to start after a rain. When dry, it fires up on a crank and a half, no smoke at all. I am thinking maybe because of the air filter on the carb?

The PO has owned it since '75 on an acre and has put next to no hours on it, and it shows. The tires, having a few cracks, look like they've never been on the road, and have only been around the yard a few times.

What makes you think the tractor is a 77? Look on the dash for a serial number plate on the lower left side. The engine is a Super 88. You need to do some hydraulic checking before you come to any conclusions.

Thanks for the heads up. When I searched the engine it came up 77, if it's super 88 that's even better. Thats why I'm here though, to find more info. Everything I try turns up no information. If I have any misconceptions please feel free to correct them.
