Changing the hydraulic oil on the 1550 gas I took the coupler ends off the
the two remote hoses on the one side when I cranked the tractor fluid came out of both
hoses under pressure.Got the oil changed and put the ends back on hooked up a cylinder and
the cylinder worked just like it should.Does oil supposed to come out of the hoses when the lever is in the neutral position? And I wonder how it works like its supposed to with the cylinder?

The was the valves are the interlock plunger opens the check ball on the return side. With no resistance on either line I think it would push fluid from both. J.S. could probably tell you for sure.

I think it's normal because I have had an 1800 do that. A dealer that's retired now told me they maintain 200 psi on the lines. I noticed it's usually easier to hook remotes with the engine stopped.

RT (My 2 cents.)
