I have a problem here.
I am rebuilding an over/under from a 1974 1855
I got a set of 5 and a set of 6 new clutch discs from the dealer. One set does not fit, the new discs have 42 teeth and they measure 0.0855 thick and are the correct specs as listed in my repair manual, the 6 old discs have 34 teeth and are 0.1045 thick and obviously are not the right thickness as per manual yet they were in the clutch. (The other set of 5 for the smaller clutch are the correct ones and the same as the old set)
The part numbers on the packages are the same ones as in my parts book.(My parts book came with the first 1855 i bought and is a 72)
Both old and new discs have the same OD and ID (All teeth are on the ID).
I wonder how many different over/unders were build?
When i ordered the parts i gave them the serial number of the tranny as well.
I am confused.
ofcourse the dealer is closed til monday so i can't ask them but maybe one of you can shed some light on this.
