From the Oliver archives at the Floyd County Museum, Charles City, Iowa. Military Qualification Test, called a "Tilt Test", taken by the plant photographer Carl Rabe on September 21, 1955. Vote at www.silosandsmokestacks.org for the Floyd County Museum as People's Choice as site of the year. Thank you.

My dad talked about Oliver tractors he ran while in the Air Force. I'm not sure of the year but he was in from 1948 to 1969 wondered if anyone has a military Oliver and what model.

I was wondering what the tilt test was suppose to prove. How long it could run that way? Seems as long as the oil pump could pick up oil, it would run as normal.

Thanks, I like the louvered side panels! I hope that isn't the only military Oliver out there. I'm just thinking about a bone yard with old Oliver's in the desert like they have with the old airplanes. Lol, Greg

The right side is distributer side and it has the 24 volt system it has to have extra clearance for that huge generator and the dist is huge the coil and everything is all in the same housing with dist.
