I am looking for a good used planetary carrier bearing from an over/under.
The bearing is a 4" OD x 31/2" ID x 1" wide roller cage assembly.

Thanks

nothing special about that bearing. Internet search Consolidated Bearing. Click online catalog, search bearing size, locate bearing number. Then Internet search bearing number. You can have the right one shipped to your door tomorrow.

Try commercial solutions in Edmonton or GP?, they seem
to have most of the bearings and seals we need for the
old tractors.

(quoted from post at 11:12:28 03/17/15) ive got a couple laying here ,I rebuild those units 414 379 8485
might call you if i can't find a new bearing soon.

PS, where do you get the new bearings from???

hem stupid things seem special enough cause so far nobody can provide me with one and i tried most of the bearing outfits out there.
Internet search draws only blanks on this style and size of bearing
Search by part number is nice if one has a make and part number and i don't have that.

.i just phoned Consolidated bearing,..they don't have them.

Call Houston Bearing Supply. Houstonbearing.com I believe. If you can't read the bearing number on your old bearing, I can look at one of mine and post the bearing number this weekend.

here are no numbers on either the old or the new bearing.

Houston bearing does not sell it either.

Too bad you weren't looking about 3 years ago.
I was working on an 1850 for a friend and the
splines were all wore out on the main shaft, he
didn't have the money to buy the new shaft, so
we found a direct drive shaft and bellhousing
for $100. All of the other internals were in great
shape. I tried a couple 2 or 3 times to get $50
for all the other internals, no deal. Threw it all
into my scrap barrel when cleaning my garage
last summer. May have missed the oil pump
though, seems as if I saw it hiding on a shelf
recently. Would have gave you the stuff...

sn't that always how it goes.
Keep parts forever and never have a use,. advertise it and no one calls,... throw it out and all of a sudden someone will need it.

Shouldn't be a problem... bearing Part #72160135 is supposedly readily available from AGCO... for "only" $511.00!!!!!!!!

ep.
I found out this morning these bearings are strictly OEM only and not to be had anywhere else on the planet but from AGCO.

I phoned the local tractor wrecking yard(250 ml from me) and they told me cause of liability and warranty they don't sell used bearings... period!
I suggested , well you can give them away too!.
He said come get it.
I said how about you find me a good used one and i give you $50 for the labor for taking it out?
Done deal,..the bearing is going on the bus as we speak.
I guess i saved me $600! :D

Isn't that UNBELIEVABLE what they want for them?

There HAS to be another source!

t's legal robbery in my books, at this price there can't be many takers

Unfortunately there ain't.
Unless you're willing to fork over a small fortune for a new one the only other option is to find a good used one.

Another place I'd look is an aircraft supplier Allis Chalmers used an aircraft bearing on their Twin Wheel drive mower regular bearing places never heard of the bearing aircraft supplier had it for a
whole lot less than AGCO
