1550 hydraulic pump

I am getting around to working on my 1550 utility (now that its warming up) and trying to find a hydraulic pump, No one seams to list the pump. 1600 up no problem but I do know the pump crosses over to the same pump as the 1600 to 1850 with a change to the pipe in or out not sure, My old Oliver dealer looked all this up this afternoon and he was scratching his head on why its not listed. Lots of 1550 and 1555 made so I wonder why no one lists it? Bandit

The gallons per minute of the 1550 pump is smaller than the 1600 and up pump. The 1550 can be changed over to the larger pump. I did one once for a 1550 utility with a loader on it. I also had to change the pump drive shaft as well if I remember right. J.

I was just talking to Randy at Maibach Tractor this morning about a hydro pump for my 1650. Then I saw you post and asked him about replacing a 1550 hydraulic pump. Give him a call he should still have the info, but make sure you are sitting down. lol

Thanks guys for the information, I am still in parts mode gathering parts up and getting things ready for the fun. I know the transmission/rear end oil needs to be changed and washed out to clean it out good, Rather nasty looking oil. I like to have what I need on hand so its a start to finish project that will be right when I'm done. I have a 4 year old project sitting there now that needs to be finished and don't need another one sitting there waiting to be finished. Bandit
