Narrow Front on a 1550

I might be getting another 1550 it has the set back wide front on it and I want to change it to a narrow front.What other tractors had a narrow front on them that will work on the 1550?

From a 770 on up. The 1800 will bolt up and is a little heavier duty front end.

Where are you at? I'd love to swap my 1650 narrow front for any kind of wide front, but I'm in Central Iowa.

It'll have to be one with hydrostatic steering though won't it? One from a manual steering 770 wouldn't work I don't think?

This tractor has the hydrostatic steering.BTW did Oliver build a 1550 with NF and manual steering?My
1650 Wheatland has manual steering.

Power steering was an option and from what info I got it cost 166 bucks more

The parts book shows the 1550 could come with manual steering.

Yes they did. Power steering was only standard on the utility models and of course the utility front ends. We got 2 1650's by mistake that had manual steering.

   If memory serves me correctly, you have to swap the two hydraulic lines going to the cylinder.   Change them at the steering motor.

I'm on the East Coast I'm keeping the 1550 wide front but do have a regular wide front on a White 2-70 if that would work.
