camshaft specs

Does anybody know where I can find the cam specs for a Buda 6B230 gas? Base circle, lift, etc. The engine service manual only gives the timing and I have a couple of worn lobes.

I assume you're looking to get a new cam ground. If there's only a couple bad lobes, most places can "cam doctor" them to find out the specs. Maybe they could use other lobes?

camshaft journal dia 1,2 and 3 1.9985 4 is 1.2485 end play 2-8 bearing clearance 2-4.6 if journal clearance exceeds .0065 then bearings and/or shaft should be replaced inside dia of new cam bearings after installed should be 1,2 an 3 2.0010 - 2.0026 4 is 1.2510 - 1.2526 cam shaft bearing journal operating clearance is 0.002 - 0.0046 hope this tells you what u need. irv

hi depends on casting number of your cam I have checked a few cams centerline 104 to 107 call if ya want more info 716 308 5987 be glad to help ya

B151H and C14 are cast in numbers. The base circles run from 1.317 to 1.334 and the lifts are from .300 to .312 but the two bad ones are .233 and .238 on #5E and #6I. I could probably use it as is but I'm rebuilding everything else and it's not going to get a lot of hours. Just some field mowing and baling about 2000 per year. What do you think?

I would replace it while its a little easer to find parts. make sure lifters are convex not concave. soon even the gaskets will be hard to find you could have it reground also I can help ya out there
