'50 row crop 66 rear axle bearings

What is the correct bearing number for my tractor?
The AGCO book says 389AS. That is a very expensive
bearing compared to a 389. What is special about
the AS on this bearing number? Will another
bearing fit? I want to replace the seals and would
like to have a bearing in hand before I take it
apart or at least know where to get one.

Are you pricing them just thru AGCO? Any parts store or bearing warehouse should be able to fix you up with a timken#389AS-382. Its possible the AS is more $ because it is the race and bearing.
