1755 with cooler block?

Drove past a local salvage yard the other day,
and saw a rough 1755 sitting by the road. Saw
that it had some decent 18.4x34's on it that I
could use, so I stopped and had a look.

Tractor had the precleaner pulled off for who
knows how long, and the oil def had water in
it, but the crankcase wasn't full of water or
anything. The 310 in it is definitely a cooler
block. I know that the 1855's commonly got the
cooler blocks as replacements, but would a 1755
have gotten one as well?

It could happen- we had a 1755 that had a bad spot on the top of the block and kept blowing head gaskets. Local salvage yard had purchased a group of cooler blocks from White after the company sell outs. the price was right for a brand new block so we put a coller block in the 1755. Never put 1955 pistons or turbo set up on it.
