White 2 105 Perkins liner protrussion

Thought I would try to fix the problem of air blowing coolant out of radiator. Its OK as long as you keep it below upper hose and don't work it too hard. Been this way for 5 years. Pulled head and looks like could have been leaking between 5 and 6 and possibly 1 and 2. Checked height and liner flange is .031-.028. +/-.001? (crude tools).Specs are .035 - .030.
Is this what's considered low flange protrusion? I was surprised to see that stepped flange is tight to head surface and gasket ring is around flange.I will have head pressure checked and surfaced(to get rid of light marks from flange rings). But do you think a new gasket will seal, or does it just crush to .030 and keep flange from sealing on head? Its a TH22282N33659F build.
5000 hrs . 2nd owner, leaking when I bought it.

having the head might help only if it is not straight.I would not worry to much over these few thou diff.
Clean the deck spotless clean, then check the block deck for being straight(if it ain't then you'll have to shave the block as well), use brake clean on block and head and wipe dry before laying the new gasket on.
Make sure the head bolt treads and holes are clean(running a tap trough them is a good idea).
I would torque the bolts 5-10 lbs over spec(treads oiled),let sit over night and re-torque them a couple times so they all are the same.
(Re-torquing after warm up run as most manuals recommend is a PITA, i never do that no more and have had no problems with leaking gaskets).
Anyway that is my take,....opinions may differ.

The smart thing it to have the head pressure tested. I need to look it up now as some of those heads also have injector tubes that can leak + their was a bulletin on what cracks in those heads don't hurt and which ones to avoid. I also worked on one and we had to pressure test the block. Come to find out there was a crack in the block and the block had to have a repair sleeve installed and then the cylinder sleeve installed. Still running today.

Part 2. We had an older one a year ago, complaint was hard starting, check compression, it had about 200 PSI on 1 & 2 and a little more on 5 & 6. head gasket had failed big time. When we checked pump timing we found that when the flywheel mark said TDC, the pistons were probably a 1/4 inch from TDC. So since you have the head off check the timing as well.

Neighbor's 2-85 had #5 and 6 bores crack like that at about 3300 hours, through the block and sleeve both. Had it machined for 2 repair sleeves and still running fine today. First Perkins I ever saw do that, was about 1989 or 90.

We did notice some pitting on head #3 maybe from water but no obvious reason. That exhaust port is gunkier than others. Actually 1 side carbon is washed out like valve leaks a little. If the injector tube was cracked it would have to be below washer. Hopefully the pressure test will provide some answers. Never had any water in oil. If the block cracks behind liner then the compression gas would have to leak around flange to pressurize
coolant. This is possible?
Maybe I am just overthinking this and replacing gasket will solve everything. The only thing I know is I don't know enough!
