Thought I would try to fix the problem of air blowing coolant out of radiator. Its OK as long as you keep it below upper hose and don't work it too hard. Been this way for 5 years. Pulled head and looks like could have been leaking between 5 and 6 and possibly 1 and 2. Checked height and liner flange is .031-.028. +/-.001? (crude tools).Specs are .035 - .030.
Is this what's considered low flange protrusion? I was surprised to see that stepped flange is tight to head surface and gasket ring is around flange.I will have head pressure checked and surfaced(to get rid of light marks from flange rings). But do you think a new gasket will seal, or does it just crush to .030 and keep flange from sealing on head? Its a TH22282N33659F build.
5000 hrs . 2nd owner, leaking when I bought it.
