White 6065 hydraulic issues when cold out

Ever since we got teh White 6065 loader tractor a year or so ago we've had issues with all hydraulic functions when the temperature out is quite cold. The rear end whines quite loudly and the loader, steering and hydraulics don't work until things warm up. We are using the recommended Agco 821XL oil as per the operators manual.

Any assistance would be appreciated to help resolve this issue.

Even hydraulic oil gets stiff in cold weather. How long has it been since the filter was changed? Even a partially clogged filter will cause problems in cold weather on my 1955. How long has it been since the oil was changed? Rear end/hydraulic system oils tend to gather moisture unless the tractor is run hard enough to keep the oil hot. I know this is not accepted procedure, and it probably doesn't do the pumps any good, but I have on occasion dumped a can of dri gas in my hydraulic system and that has helped keep things flowing in cold weather until everything warms up. You could try adding a lighter oil like ATF or Marvel Mystery oil to the system in cold weather.

I have a 97 model I bought new it has 5000 hrs you need to change filters we have had two winters where the problem your having happens changing filters solved it both times we run new holland oil. We really like our 6065 in 5000 hours we have spent about 1500 in repairs and motor still doesn't use oil between changes

You got it a year ago, so did you change the hydraulic oil? I ask cause the owner before might have put in some cheap oil that is as thick as bar and chain oil in the winter!

Thanks everyone for your replies. We did change all rearend fluid and the filters last winter when this issue happened and I believe it did help at the time. We were also told of a metal tap/part of the oil filter housing that tends to conflict/hit the new oil filters when installing them (old filters were narrower apparently). The new filter would hit the metal tap and cause it to not seal flat/flush to the housing which caused the pump to draw in some air during operation. I have not checked it myself but I believe someone did grind this metal tap off to help eliminate this issue we were told about by a local dealer.

Any other thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. I will try changing the filters again and see what happens.

Is the pump squeeling from it not receiving sufficient oil? Can the filters be changed without the rearend draining out of the filter housing or do I have do drop the rearend fluid to change them?
