1355 Timing Marks

I am rebuilding my 1355 top to bottom. This is the fiat version. All the machining is done and parts are here. Started to organize last night to get ready to assemble and have a question on the timing marks. Do you line up the numbers sequentially? My manual is a reprint and this picture is fuzzy. It also looks like some one before me pin punched some markings they do not look like factory marks. Anyone have pics or advice?
Thanks

Don't know about that engine....but common sense starting
point, if all gears, would be put crank timing mark at the point of
drive to the adjacent gear (likely TDC on No.1) and proceed
logically from there.

Usually each intermediate gear is marked with the two timing
marks on a tooth and a space (between two marked teeth,
maybe).

If a chain drive (unlikely?), then they are sometimes timed on
one lobe of the cam shaft.

Whatever it is, there will be a simple logical sequence. If only a
single timing mark on the gear driven by the crank, that timing
gear would be fixed in place and the crank turned until the
timing mark on the intermediate coincided with the next gear
fitted.

Two crankshaft rotations later the marks should realign, unless
there is another intermediate 'idler' gear in the train.

Yes you do line up the numbers. I checked an old bulletin that I have and if all your numbers line up you should be at TDC on # 1 cylinder. I have another book I can also check. J.

Thanks guys. It all came together nice. Was a
bit confusing on the bench but once in the
block made sense and came together nice.
