310T cooler block changes

I have 2 310T oil cooler blocks both out of 1855's.
one has casting # 221520 165101A and 422. I believe
this one is newer. It had the late cam # and bigger
turbo lines. The other is 165606A 221520 and 8297.
I noticed differences in the oil passages and relief
valve. What other differences are there if any?
Thanks.

Your 165606A is a block that could not be used in a 1950-T when they were new. They were salvaged AND USED IN 1750'S. Don't try to turbocharge it!. Notice it was cast in August of 1967 too. You have engine numbers for both blocks? Questions? J.

That's good to know. I had no clue and It was in my 1855. What was the trouble with that block? I removed this one due to lifter bore issues. I will put the other block in. Are there more #'s on the blocks some where? How do you come up with a casting date? Thanks
